Mission Statement:
The mission of the Welcome Committee is to welcome new parishioners to St. Catherine of Siena and to enrich the overall hospitality offered by our church. The committee is a visionary group, working on forming and implementing new ideas to create an inviting environment for our parish community and visitors.

How the Ministry operates: We meet approximately every other month (except summer) in the church library. Past and imminent events are discussed, and ideas for new events are presented and considered.

When does the Ministry take action: The Welcome Committee arranges for members to volunteer for events such as coffee and doughnuts in the cafeteria at religious education, the pancake breakfast, and other events whose purpose is to gather parishioners together in a warm, social atmosphere to promote camaraderie and a feeling of belonging.

Why the Ministry may be right for you: Involvement in this committee is a great way to meet new people, both in terms of the newly welcomed parishioners as well as the caring current team members.
