Next weekend we will have a few visitors to our
parish and I ask you to welcome them.

First we have our Mission Priest, Father Matthew Considine of the Montfort Ministries that are assigned to more than 30 countries including the USA and right here in the Archdiocese of Hartford. They will speak to us about their missionary work and for your support both in prayer and financially. I thank you in advance for your support.

Second, we will welcome The Land of Peace, a nonprofit organization charged with helping Christian families in the Holy Land. This year more than ever before, our brother and sister Christians need our help—our prayers for peace and our financial support for food and security. With all of the tensions in the Middle East both religiously and politically, and with the very disturbing acts of violence and terrorism of ISIS and other groups, Christians are being murdered and persecuted as never before. Let us all consider how we relatively freely practice our faith and compare that to the daily threats of liberty and life that our brothers and sisters must deal with.
