On becoming a Christian. The Catholic Church provides for a process for those who are not Catholic or have not received all their (7) sacraments, to partake of the Sacraments of Initiation at this time of the year, culminating at the Great Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night.
If you are not Catholic but live within a mainly Catholic family and would like to join them at the Eucharistic celebration at Mass, come learn about our faith and the meaning behind her teachings. It is a whole lot more than just the “Thou Shall Not”. If you are a mom or dad who wish to be an even greater example of faith to your children, or if your spouse is Catholic and you want your spiritual lives to be aligned and to strengthen your marriage; or, if you are a single person who is looking for something more to life than work and going out all the time, we are here for you.
This is not a join-and-do-it program. The first few meetings are about getting to know the faith and seeing if it is for you. Come learn about the beginnings of our faith—who founded us, why we are Apostolic, why our Church possesses the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist; why no other faith or Church does more for the poor or downtrodden in the world; why we teach about the value of all human life, and why marriage is a sacred covenant of Love, not just a legally binding contract. And, of the utmost import, why God loves you and desires you – and why He is willing to come to you as you are and bring you to Him.
Come join us for our first meeting on November 8th at 7 p.m.. Or call the parish office for more info.
