If you have not yet viewed the parking lot expansion plans in the Atrium, please take a look at what is about to take place here at Saint Catherine of Siena. The anticipated start date is 21 July 2014 with an expected completion date of 19 September 2014. This will include the addition of new parking spaces to the rear of the existing lot, facing West, as well as a roadway to the new lot behind the current shed and a walkway from said lot into Russell Hall. In addition to this, all new lighting in the new lot and existing lot will be installed. Phase Two, which includes the repair of the current lot and the new entrances and rectory driveway, will begin next spring of 2015.

This is all possible due to the generosity of our parishioners who have taken part in our Grand Annual Collection. If you have yet to participate or need to finish your annual donation, please do so. We are facing a large bill in Phase One, some $225,000.

The Grand Annual Collection asked each parish family to contribute $300 per year over three (3) years to cover the anticipated costs. It is our hope based on the first year?s success to complete this project in 2 years. While not everyone is able to make the annual $300 contribution, your donation?whatever the amount you are able to do?is greatly appreciated.

This required expansion and update is due to two key factors: first, the existing lot is over 40 years old and is the original asphalt?time is taking its tool; and second, our parish family has realized a large growth over the past four years, increasing from 850 registered families to more than 1300. It is a good ?problem? to have!
