As you can see we have begun the last phase of the parking lot repairs and upgrades (praise the Lord!). Caldwell Excavating and Paving has again been selected to complete the front (original) parking lot and this will continue into late August or early September, weather dependent.
Your understandings are greatly appreciated and please remember about our rear (new) parking lot and entrance into Russell Hall for your safety and convenience.
The Church interior renovations are well underway. The stained glass window is in, the rear wall lighting and painting is completed, the stenciling of the Beatitudes is being planned, the stone wall feature is in and the wall has been reinforce, and then the sanctuary floor will begin next week.
This week past was quite busy around these parts with lifts and painters, stained glass artists and electricians—and this is a small project (approximately $140,000) compared with the recent St. Ann’s renovations in Avon and the future St. Mary in Simsbury planned renovations which many of you have heard about. Thankfully, all our work is paid for by private donations from individual families and not general parish funds.
I thank everyone for their understanding during this time of renovations and for all those who have made it possible.
