There is also a basket and table in the atrium to collect donated food items —pasta and traditional Italian gravies for this dinner. There is no set dinner price or ticket sale cost, just a free will offering of your choice! Come join us for a great meal, wonderful conversation and “see” what your generosity can do for the children and people of Haiti! Thank you for your support!
Haiti is poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere with a per capita annual income of only $1,317 per family. The poverty level in Haiti is listed at 59% of the total population, and in the rural sections of the nation the poverty level rises to 75.2 %, the typical poorest person lives on less than USD$2 per day. Many of the Island-nation’s poor have migrated into the City of Port-au-Prince trying to escape rural poverty and putting an even greater stress on the very limited urban social service system, since nearly 2/3rds of the population do not have formal employment. With these statistics in mind, you can see how much good the money raised from a simply pasta dinner can accomplish. Your generous support will be a great help. Thank you!
