In the near future you will be receiving communications for FAITH DIRECT, a company engaged by our parish to provide easy, convenient and secure electronic weekly and annual donations to your parish, St. Catherine of Siena Parish. We are offering this optional route to keep your parish fiscally strong and growing, especially during this time of isolation with no public gatherings but also as a way to provide an even flow of resources :

• Thankfully our parish is growing and vibrant and people see who we are as a parish in our ministerial pro-grams such as Pantry Partners, support of the Knights of Malta and the Lenten Mercy Program’s outreach to groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor; St Elizabeth’s House and Feed the Hungry, Neighbors in Need sup-porting our local community, in a growing youth ministry, Faith Formation programs and activities, through a powerfully spiritual Music Ministry, in a new Forward with Faith program, through Men’s and Women’s Club activities and more—and they are impressed;

 

• As people experience this collective action, they support it both with funding and with hands-on involve-ment. This new electronic way to donate creates a steadier flow of financial support since when we personally travel or are not at Mass and the collection is taken up, it doesn’t mean that our programs, ministries or ser-vices are inactive;

 

• In today’s culture, many people no longer carry a checkbook or write checks. For some, a frantic activity be-fore leaving the house for Mass is the great search for the checkbook or envelope. Setting up a new electronic mode of payment not only creates a steady and dependable stream of income for your parish but also might eliminate some unnecessary anxiety; and;

 

• It is my hope that we can all—including myself—take a look at this convenient and safe way to support our parish and keep the programs, our activities, our Catholic corporal and spiritual works of mercy—and our growth—strong and successful, enabling us all to complete Christ’s mission and ministry in our time and place.
