Catholics Come Home—will meet for its ini-tial planning session on Monday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in the Library of the Parish Center. This ministry comes out of Pope Benedict’s call for a "New Evangelization," which will kick off globally with the 2012- 2013 "Year of Faith" on October 11th.
Our focus will be on welcoming former Catholics home by providing accurate information as to what our faith teaches and why. Many Catholics and non-Catholics have been catechized by the secular media, television, and mov-ies, sometimes with misinformation, myths, and lies. We as a parish will work to reach out to our Catholic brothers and sisters who have left the Church or feel that the Church has left them, due to divorce or remar-riage, abortion, or many other teachings.
Let’s take this opportunity to have n open dialogue and, at the very least, reacquaint us with the true Church teachings and "why" it teaches what it does. You may call the rectory at 860 658 1642.
