Our Advent Giving Tree Project is underway with Christmas trees decorated with envelopes in the vestibule and atrium. This year we once again will be raising money to benefit:
The Knights of Malta Mobile Care Clinics bring- ing healthcare and much needed medicines to people who have no health insurance or anyway to access health care (right in their own neighborhoods). These folks are some of the “poorest of the poor” and your generosity makes all the difference in the world. More than 27,000 patients have passed through the doors of these Malta Mobile Care Clinics and have received fine healthcare management through a combination of your donations and the volunteer nurses and doctors.
Our parish’s Neighbors In Need program provides financial assistance to Saint Catherine of Siena parishioners and Simsbury residents who are hurting due to this ongoing economic crisis in our nation. From providing food and Thanksgiving meals to feed a family, to paying auto repair bills ensuring someone’s ability to keep his job, to covering a child’s emergency room visit, to purchasing home heating oil or helping a single mother with child care expenses— your generosity is an amazing act of Christ-like compassion helping families and neighbors right next to you in the pews. Thank you Saint Catherine of Siena parishioners for your support!
