 Many thanks to the generous parishioners who give their time, energy, and gift of faith to our youngest members.   We will be conducting classes in person at Henry James Memorial School, 2023-2024 


What do I do? What do I need to know?

Description:
Share the Faith of the Catholic Church with the children of the Saint Catherine of Siena Parish.

Special Skills:
Catechists should have a love of children and of their faith and the desire to share it. Prior teaching experience is helpful but not required. Catechist training is provided by the DRE along with the support of the Pastor, parents, and fellow catechists. Catechist Formation classes are available at area churches through the Archdiocese.



Catechists prepare for and conduct 1 hour Religious Education classes each Sunday following the Simsbury School calendar. K - 8 on Sunday mornings and 9 & 10 on Sunday evenings. Catechists must attend the Orientation in September and attend the Virtus Training (Safe Environment for Children).
