The Boston Mission Trip takes place in March and provides teens with a unique opportunity to work with the homeless in ways that are not typically available to us here in our hometown. We will sleep in the basement of a church that has a fully equipped kitchen. We will carry bags to worksites similar to how someone who is homeless carries their possessions at all times. We will eat meals with the homeless, and will interact with them in a variety of ways at both men’s and women’s shelters in the area. Please consider joining us for this trip next year.
Below is information from 2024 including pictures, a slideshow and communications.
In March 2024 we participated in a Mission Trip to Boston with teens from both St. Catherine of Siena and St. Mary's Youth Ministry. Between the two parishes we sent 16 teens and 5 chaperones to serve the homeless in various shelters throughout the city of Boston. It was a successful weekend and we wanted to thank all the parishioners who donated clothing and/or made a financial donation to support this trip. Use the link below to read an update on the trip from Manuela Hanshaw, Director of Youth Ministry.
