Youth Mission Trip to Boston Scheduled for March 21 --March 24
Our youth and all their chaperones will head out to Boston for the annual Mission Trip next weekend and we will certainly keep them in our prayers for great success in seeing Christ in everyone they meet on the streets, the Common and in the homeless shelters. We know that these missionary disciples will keep Saint Catherine of Siena parish in their prayers, too.
A great deal of work has gone into this Mission Trip: from extensive planning to line up all the sites for work projects, organizing the chaperones and preparing for the logistics of the event--ordering food, seeing to the housing and transportation needs of the crew--and much, much more. I want to thank Manuela Hanshaw and Ashley Kara from our Youth Ministry office for the prep work as well as Lisa Cerchia in the parish office for assisting in many of the details; not to mention all the youth and chaperones who have completed lots of prep work. I am sure the trip will be a great success both for those who will benefit from the generosity and charity of our youth and parish -at-large as well as for the youth who will be more conformed to Christ, through His grace, in leading them to this Christian action at work.
I would also like to thank this parish for the wonderful support and amazing generosity of all
those who through second collections and bake sale purchases to the bidding on Youth Ministry auction items have made all this possible. Thank you! I want to thank all those who bid on the auction items and have sent in their payment checks -- and for those who are preparing their auction item checks for payment, we look forward to receiving them soon.
Thank you!
