It is so wonderful to see so many friendly faces back in pews. After 2020 when the church was “locked” and Masses were celebrated with a camera, an organist, a lector and a priest only—it is nice to have congregations and voices and souls seeking God.
As we return to more and more people attending the Masses, as the Governor lifts the restrictions of his state of emergency Executive Orders, and as the pandemic subsides—praise God! —the guidelines of the Church will be changing too: Fewer social distancing rules and more freedoms.
I have a favor to ask of our parishioners. When the ushers help people locating seats in pews—as we have yet been told it is OK to use all pews, kindly heed the request to slide in to make room for others. It will certainly highlight the Christian virtue of welcoming others to the Lord.
Perhaps soon all the pews will be open for seating, but until that time—slide in and make
room for others to join us in praise of God and to receive His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord!
Thank you!
