Basic Job Requirements:

• Ability to interact and dialogue well with junior and senior high students; build a safe environment for them to express and develop their faith under-standing and other issues;

• Develop strong relationships among different teens and harness their talents into a growth-oriented youth ministry;

• Possess an understanding of Catholic social teach-ing and its applicability in our modern culture;

• Posses the ability to lead youth/young adults in public prayer in the Catholic tradition;

• Develop appropriate Catholic spirituality for in-volved youth;

• Plan and execute youth ministry activities aimed at building strong, open-minded relationships based on trust and compassion;

• Develop and execute mission trips;

• Work with various volunteers in other parish ministries;

The director of youth ministry reports directly to the pastor. The position is approximately 27 hours per week and salary is commensurate with experience/expertise.
