Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, our monthly collection for the Repair & Refurbishment fund enables us to take timely care of our facilities—from heating and air conditioning concerns to electrical, building safety and regular repairs.
Important Updates:
We recently repaired the wooden vestibule doors with sanding and new marine varnish so that they are usable for the foreseeable future ($800);
The atrium doors—interior doors used as outside doors—have been repaired twice in the past and could not be done again. The new doors, made of fiberglass and designed to have a wood-look and fashioned with crosses, are warranted and meant for exterior use. The total cost was approximately $17,500 (we saved nearly $10, 000 by reusing the same hardware);
The confessional (and sacristy) door was changed to meet Virtus training requirements with etched glass providing privacy and openness at a cost of approximately $6,500;
We are in the process of rebuilding two HVAC pumps in Russell Hall and the addition and will be fitting the pumps with energy efficient valves, at an approximate cost of $9,200. I thank the parishioners for their support as we maintain our parish facilities with safety, energy efficiency and liturgical beauty.
