RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults Our RCIA program is slated to meet every other Tuesday evening from November 5th through March 24th as we prepare adults to enter into the Catholic Church—either by Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation—or by reception into full Communion with the Church from one of the Christian denominations.
Our program, and the whole of RCIA, is meant to whet the appetite for learning about our Catholic faith—but it does not stop with ten or so grades, nor does faith formation “end” with Confirmation—a.k.a. “graduation”—but rather delving deeper into the rich treasure of our Catholic faith—and coming to know God more intimately—is a life-long journey.
As one who isn’t Catholic yet you attend Mass with your spouse and family, do you wonder about becoming Catholic? Are you unsure of the Church’s teachings, not quite certain about the Sacraments or the purpose rather than the “function” of faith? Confused about the meaning of life? Thought about why more than 1 billion people around the world are attracted to the Church? Come and investigate where you are now—and where you might want to head—on your own journey to faith.
Join us for the introductory meeting on November 5th, 7 p.m. in the Library. Or, if you have any questions feel free to contact Fr. Michael at 860 658 1642. Hope to see you there!
