The Archbishop of Hartford created a committee of priests to develop Church guidelines for returning to the public worship of Mass and the Sacramental life of the Church. That committee has done its work and presented it to the Archbishop’s Presbyteral (Priest) Council for their approval. I believe it now is being reviewed by the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council. I hope we hear this coming week on good news! But that’s just my hope and my thoughts. I am not part of any of the above mentioned Councils. More to come as soon as we hear.

Our St. Catherine the staff has talked about our own guidelines, precautions and preparations we shall utilize to reintroduce the public life of the Church, including all CDC and Connecticut Department of Public Health requirements, all Archdiocesan regulations and local government ordinances; our own updated cleaning processes and supplies needed (ordered and waiting for deliver), as well as the best liturgical practices for our church size and configuration. The health and safety of our bodies, minds and spirits are taken seriously.Peace!
