This weekend we shall celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the Lord, Savior of the World, and we look forward to hosting you and your loved ones as we Praise God for the Christmas gift of His Son and the Salvation of the world.
As we are returning to a more normal way of life after the Covid Pandemic, that now for most of us it is a flu-like illness, and for those who have underlying health issues we know that we are called to take some additional precautions; yet, for most of the world we have returned to in-person school, restaurants, sporting events – and of course, celebrating the Eucharistic Mass as Roman Catholics: We are back!
This Christmas, we welcome you too to return to the Eternal Life-Saving Eucharistic meal that the Lord instituted for our salvation. He nourishes us with Himself so that we may become more like Him in this world—filled with kindness, compassion, forgiveness and generosity—as well as His Truths; all intended to help us in this world filled with anxiety, anger and fear—so that we overcome the ills of the world and instill in us God’s Grace for a happy, peaceful and gentle existence.
Our Mass schedule for Christmas Eve and Day is as follows:
Christmas Eve
4 p.m. (children’s liturgy), 6:30 p.m., 10 p.m.
Christmas Day
8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
2022 is now behind us and we look forward to 2023 with Hope in Christ and His Goodness, that we may share in so we all may be the antidote to our current world of anger, cancellations, falsehoods, and unkindness. With Christ we shall see a change in our lives and in the world which we comprise.
It is also a grand time to take a few lines here and thank the people of St. Catherine of Siena Parish for all their good works, prayerful praise of God—both in the Mass and in their daily lives lived in faith:
Our parish continues to grow with more than 200 new families since December of 2020
We have extended our outreach ministries providing food and support to those in need, through St. Elizabeth House, Feed the Hungry, Pantry Partners, and our Street Sandwich ministry.
Our Youth Ministry continues to grow in numbers and in expanded activities leading our young to be the Church today.
Our Faith Formation program is stronger
All this is happening for one reason and one reason only: We have Truth on our side and everyone wants to hear the Lifesaving and Eternal Truth. It is what God wants for us—for you and for me!
I wish you and your loved ones a Blessed, Happy and joy-filled Christmastime and a prosperous (spiritually) New Year. Come join us and all the fun in 2023.
As we “sign-off” for 2022… I wish to express my sincere and grateful thanks and appreciation to this parish, all our parishioners and volunteers since without you, none of the above-mentioned and more would be accomplished. THANK YOU! BLESS YOU! Peace to all…
