As we wrap-up the "academic year" here at Saint Catherine of Siena, I want to take a few lines to express my thanks to our standing ministries (Religious Education, Youth Ministry, and Music) to personally thank all involved for making our parish so alive with faith and action. For Religious Education: I want to thank Kathi Bonner and all the catechists and aides who pass on the faith to our future Catholics with such devotion and hope. We have, without a doubt, one of the best religious education programs in the area and the testimony to that is the fact that while other programs are shrinking. Ours is growing and attracting more students. For Youth Ministry: Judy Pluta and Diane Whittemore and others are forming a great and growing group of youths involved in a number of faith-filled activities. When I see huge numbers of teens showing up to help out or pro-mote a charity, my hope for the future of our Church is made stronger. Again, our parish is leading in this ministry also. For Music: Susan Zybert and Nicole Poirier are doing tremendous things with our music to help elevate our worship of God and to enliven the hearts of many. The sounds that fill the rafters of our Church are not only beautiful but stir the hearts of many. I am most grateful to everyone involved. Weather I go to a meeting or read a comment on Facebook or meet a parishioner after Mass the common denominator I hear or see is the wonderful work these three ministries are doing and the grace they are accom-plishing in the lives of many. We are blessed!
