Lenten Mercy Project
Week 5 ~ March 16th – 17th
“Feed the Hungry”
Donations are being made to Gifts of Love, an organization which helps meet the basic needs of individuals and families in Central Connecticut experiencing a financial crisis so they can achieve and maintain selfsufficiency.
· Canned fruit
· Canned tomato products
· Pasta sauce (plastic jars or canned)
· Peanut butter & jelly
· Dry pasta
Collection bins for the Mercy Project will be located in the vestibule and atrium. Please bring collections to Church by the weekend of March 16th – 17th.
Monetary donations are also welcome. Envelopes labeled “Lenten Mercy Project” are available on the Mercy Project collection tables and may be placed in the basket along with your regular offertory or dropped off in the parish office.
Gift cards to grocery stores, drug stores and big box stores (ie Walmart, Target) are always appreciated and can be purchasedthrough our Scrip Program.
Parents…don’t forget about our “Children Making Change” Lenten Giving Program. Please remind your children to bring their loose change to Religious Ed. each Sunday! Money collected will be used to purchase needed items for Covenant to Care, an organization which mobilizes and channels the generosity of caring and faithful people to advocate for, mentor and provide direct assistance to Connecticut’s children and youth who are neglected, abused or at-risk.
